| RESOURCES: An issue of survival
Summary This essay discusses the erosion of agricultural biodiversity. It argues that this trend is putting the ability of future generations to feed themselves at risk, and that in order to reverse the trend, new policies must be implemented worldwide. One of its main points is that this is especially important because it is the poorest farmers that are the stewards of genetic diversity.
