Summary This publication contains the proceedings of an expert consultation organized by the M.S Swaminathan Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Chennai, January 2002. Included are the programme, the text of the inaugural address, the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers' Rights Act, the draft rules for this Act as they were drawn up by a committee and finalized by the participants at the consultation, the recommendations made by the participating experts, and the list of participants. |
